How to use the review feature in WriteText.ai

The review feature in WriteText.ai gives you a way to track which products and categories (called collections in Shopify) you have already checked or approved. It is an internal organizational tool and has no effect on the content published to your store or on SEO. 

What does "reviewed" mean?

Marking an item as reviewed does not trigger any action in WriteText.ai. It does not prevent content from being transferred, does not lock a product, and does not change what appears on your storefront. The status exists purely to help you keep track of which items your team has already looked at.

How to mark content as reviewed

There are two ways to mark content as reviewed, depending on whether you are working inside the plugin or using the Chrome extension.

Inside the plugin, open the editing screen for the product or category you want to mark. Check the review checkbox and save. This records the item as reviewed within your list.

If you are using the WriteText.ai Chrome extension, you can also mark content as reviewed while browsing your storefront, with the added option to leave comments or feedback. To do this:

  1. Open your store in Chrome with the WriteText.ai extension enabled.
  2. Navigate to the product page that you want to review.
  3. Click the extension icon to activate review mode.
  4. Navigate to the product or category page you want to review.
  5. Mark the content as reviewed directly on the page.
  6. Add any comments or feedback in the provided field.

Your review status and comments sync back to the WriteText.ai plugin or app, where they are visible in your product and category lists.

How to reset review status

To remove the reviewed status from a product or category, open the item's editing screen, uncheck the review box, and save.

How do I filter products by review status?

In your product or category list, use the "Filter by WriteText.ai status" dropdown and select "Reviewed" to display only items that have been marked as reviewed.

There is no dedicated filter for items that are pending review. To find items that have not yet been reviewed, scan the list for products or categories without the reviewed status marked.

Does WriteText.ai require review before content is published?

WriteText.ai does not support mandatory review as a step before content is transferred to your store. Review status is for tracking only and does not block bulk transfer or any other publishing action. If your workflow requires a formal approval step before content goes live, you will need to manage that process outside of WriteText.ai.
