What happens if I deactivate my SEO plugin?
WriteText.ai requires an active, supported SEO plugin to manage SEO fields such as meta titles, meta descriptions, and other on-page SEO data. If you deactivate your SEO plugin, WriteText.ai loses access to those fields and cannot continue operating normally.
When you next try to access WriteText.ai, you will be redirected to the setup screen. From there, you will need to select and activate a supported SEO plugin before you can proceed. Once a supported plugin is active again, WriteText.ai will resume working as normal.
Why an SEO plugin is required
WriteText.ai works with the SEO plugins supported for your platform. If you are not sure which plugins are compatible, the setup screen will show your available options when you are redirected there.
In a standard WooCommerce setup, WordPress does not provide dedicated fields for meta titles, meta descriptions, or Open Graph text. Without a plugin, WordPress selects the content for these fields automatically. WriteText.ai saves SEO field data directly into the fields created by your SEO plugin, which is why one must be installed and active.
Supported SEO plugins
The supported SEO plugins for WooCommerce are Yoast SEO (version 20.7 or later), All in One SEO (AIOSEO, version 4.3.9 or later), Rank Math SEO (version 1.0.114 or later).
