Image analysis in WriteText.ai is a powerful capability that helps the tool better understand what a product or category represents based on its image(s). This understanding is used to make generated content more accurate, specific, and aligned with the actual product being sold.

Images are treated as additional context, not a requirement for most text generation. If image analysis cannot be done, WriteText.ai will still generate content using the rest of the available product or category data.

Image analysis for contextual content generation

When image analysis is used, WriteText.ai examines the images associated with a product or category page to extract meaningful signals that may not be present in text alone.

Depending on what is being sold, this may include:

Visual characteristics such as shape, material, color, style, or visible features
How the item appears to be used or presented
For non-physical or service-type products, other visual or contextual identifiers that help clarify what the offering represents

Image use in keyword analysis

If a product image is detected, WriteText.ai may use it as part of keyword analysis to better understand what the product visually represents.

This helps improve keyword relevance when:

Product names are generic
Attributes are missing or minimal
Visual differentiation matters

Keyword analysis can still run without images, but image context can improve accuracy when available.

Image alt text generation

Image alt text generation is naturally image-dependent. To generate alt text, WriteText.ai must be able to analyze the image itself. If the image is missing or uses an unsupported format, alt text generation cannot proceed.

This limitation applies only to alt text. All other text types can still be generated without image analysis.

Templates with image blocks

If the template you are using includes an image block, an unsupported image will still be displayed even if it cannot be analyzed.

However:

If the template requires an image description, no description will be generated when the image format is not supported
The rest of the template can still be generated using non-image data

In these cases, WriteText.ai may prompt you to continue without image analysis.

Supported image formats

WriteText.ai supports the following image formats for analysis:

JPG / JPEG
PNG
WEBP
GIF (first frame only)
SVG
AVIF (non-animated only)

Animated images are not supported. This is a technical limitation of the third-party image processing service used for image analysis.

What happens when an image is not supported

If an image cannot be processed due to unsupported format:

Image alt text generation cannot proceed
For all other text types, you may be asked whether you want to continue without image analysis
Content generation continues using available product data if you choose to proceed
