Can I bulk update category descriptions?

Not at this time. WriteText.ai does not support bulk generation for category descriptions. Each category description must be generated and updated individually. 

What bulk generation covers

Bulk generation in WriteText.ai is available for products only. You can generate descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and other content across multiple products in one run — but this does not extend to category pages.

*Note: In Shopify, categories are referred to as collections; the same limitation applies.

How to update category descriptions

To generate or update a category description, open the category directly and run generation from there. The same AI inputs apply — you can provide tone, style, target audience, and additional instructions to guide the output, just as you would for a product.

You can also select a representative product from within that category, which gives the tool a concrete reference point to work from. This is something you cannot do in product generation. WriteText.ai uses that product to produce product text that accurately reflects what the category contains, resulting in content that is more specific, on-brand, and better positioned for search.
