Can I configure automation for both products and categories?

Yes. WriteText.ai's automation settings apply to both products and categories. What runs for each content type, however, is not the same. 

For products

When automation is enabled for products, two things happen on a daily basis:

  • Product sync (REST)Updates your product data and applies your Brand Voice settings, so any changes to tone and style are reflected in future automated runs. Product sync keeps your data and settings current but it does not trigger automatic content regeneration. Text generation still requires manual initiation.
  • New records emailSends you an email notification when new products are detected via automation. Text generation is not triggered automatically, it still requires manual initiation. The email is a notification of new records, not a generation queue.

For categories

Automation for categories covers only the new records email. There is no equivalent sync process for categories, automation here is used purely to notify you when new category records are ready for content generation.

What this means in practice

If you are managing both products and categories, you can configure automation for both from the same settings area under "Automation settings". Keep in mind that automation does not trigger content regeneration for either products or categories — text generation still requires manual initiation regardless of content type.
