Can I cancel my subscription and what does the process look like?

Cancellation options depend on your current WriteText.ai tier. Here's how it works for each:

Starter

The Starter plan is credit-based and not tied to a subscription.

  • Credits are prepaid and valid for one year. You can use them until they run out or expire, whichever comes first.
  • If your credits are used up before the year ends, you’ll see an “insufficient credits” prompt and won’t be able to generate text, do keyword analysis, or perform other actions that need credits.
  • There is no need to cancel; your account stays on the Starter tier, but features are unavailable until you buy new credits.

Pro

Since the Pro plan is subscription-based, you can cancel at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which the cancellation takes effect.

  • Subscription credits. Credits allocated as part of your Pro subscription will expire when your subscription ends. They cannot be carried over once you’re downgraded.
  • Purchased credits. Any additional credits you’ve bought separately (outside your subscription) have a one-year validity from the date of purchase. If you still have purchased credits when your Pro plan ends, your account will automatically downgrade to the Starter tier. You can continue using those credits until they are used up or expire.
  • After credits run out. Once your remaining purchased credits are used or expired, your account will stay on the Starter tier, but features will be unavailable until you purchase credits again or re-subscribe to Pro.

How to cancel your subscription

  1. Log in to your account at https://platform.writetext.ai.
  2. Go to Plans & Credits in your WriteText.ai account.
  3. Under “Your plan”, click Cancel subscription.
  4. Confirm by clicking “Yes, cancel subscription” in the pop-up window.

Managed Setup

Managed Setup includes a 3-month minimum commitment that automatically ends after the initial period.

  • During the commitment period: Your subscription remains active for the full 3 months to ensure complete implementation, optimization, and support through your initial rollout.
  • After 3 months: Your subscription automatically ends and your account downgrades to the Starter tier. You can continue using any remaining credits or resubscribe to Pro for ongoing access to advanced features.
  • Credits included in Managed Setup: Credits allocated as part of your Managed Setup package are valid for one year from the date of purchase. After your 3-month commitment ends, you can continue using these credits on the Starter tier until they're used up or expire.
  • Purchased credits: Any additional credits you've bought separately (outside your Managed Setup package) also have a one-year validity from the date of purchase.
  • Resubscribing for advanced features: After your commitment period ends, you can subscribe to Pro at any time to regain access to advanced features like automation workflows, SEO tools, keyword analysis, custom prompts, and API access.
