Can I cancel my subscription and what does the process look like?

Cancellation options depend on your current WriteText.ai tier. Here's how it works for each:

Starter

The Starter plan is credit-based and not tied to a subscription.

  • Credits are prepaid and valid for one year. You can use them until they run out or expire, whichever comes first.
  • If your credits are used up before the year ends, you’ll see an “insufficient credits” prompt and won’t be able to generate text, do keyword analysis, or perform other actions that need credits.
  • There is no need to cancel; your account stays on the Starter tier, but features are unavailable until you buy new credits.

Pro

Since the Pro plan is subscription-based, you can cancel at any time. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which the cancellation takes effect.

  • Subscription credits. Credits allocated as part of your Pro subscription will expire when your subscription ends. They cannot be carried over once you’re downgraded.
  • Purchased credits. Any additional credits you’ve bought separately (outside your subscription) have a one-year validity from the date of purchase. If you still have purchased credits when your Pro plan ends, your account will automatically downgrade to the Starter tier. You can continue using those credits until they are used up or expire.
  • After credits run out. Once your remaining purchased credits are used or expired, your account will stay on the Starter tier, but features will be unavailable until you purchase credits again or re-subscribe to Pro.

How to cancel your subscription

  1. Log in to your account at https://platform.writetext.ai.
  2. Go to Plans & Credits in your WriteText.ai account.
  3. Under “Your plan”, click Cancel subscription.
  4. Confirm by clicking “Yes, cancel subscription” in the pop-up window.

Enterprise tier

Enterprise plans are customized and not cancelable through the dashboard. For any changes or inquiries, contact your dedicated account manager to discuss the changes needed in your setup.
